Requirements

The Garmin R10, a compact golf launch monitor and simulator, requires specific setup conditions for optimal performance. It should be positioned 6-8 feet behind the ball. When using a net or impact screen, ensure there's at least 8 feet of space in front of the R10 for accurate ball flight measurements, though more space is preferable.

A minimum room depth of 14 feet is necessary. Additionally, a width of at least 10 feet and, for indoor setups, a minimum ceiling height of 9 feet are recommended to allow for comfortable and stress-free swinging.

Key setup tips for the Garmin R10 include:

• The unit should be on the same level as the golf mat if one is used.
• The device's red alignment line must be aligned with both the tee location and the target of the shot. You can use a golf club to ensure the alignment line and tee location are correctly lined up.
• The Approach R10 functions through the Garmin Golf app, which needs to be downloaded onto a mobile device.
• For third-party software like E6 Connect or TGC 2019, typically used on a PC, the connection is made through the Garmin Golf app, linking the R10 to the software.
• Hit with Titleist Pro V1® or Pro V1x® golf balls with Radar Capture Technology and improve spin rate accuracy by up to 30X—and carry distance accuracy by up to 50%.
